associated with injuries leading to or contributing to serious complications
including stroke. According to the RAND study on the cervical spine,
the incidence of vertebrobasilar accidents [strokes] and other major
complications following cervical spine manipulation is 1.46 in one
million manipulations."
In comparison,
studies reveal that 1 out of 10,000 aspirin users suffer medical
complications from that medication.
HARRIS Poll
Survey, ____________date?
A
recent Harris Poll survey found that patients with back problems
were more satisfied with chiropractic treatment than other types
of care, and 70 percent of Americans surveyed believe that chiropractic
should be inlcuded as a basic benefit in their health plans.
