Dr. Buettner's Qualifications
Dr. Jacalyn Buettner is originally from Delphos, Ohio.
After receiving an Associate of Science degree from Kellogg Community
College in Battle Creek, Michigan, she attended Palmer College of
Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating Cum Laude in 1985.
She was granted a Diplomate by the National Board of Chiropractic
Examiners in 1984.
She relocated to California in 1985 and settled in the Bay Area
in 1986.
Prior to establishing Union SquareChiropratic in San Francisco in
1989, Dr. Buettner worked as an associate at Woodcrest Chiropractic
in Riverside, and Westborough Chiropractic in South San Francisco.
On a personal note, Dr. Buettners many interests include
bicycling with her family, scuba diving, snow-skiing and reading.
She resides in Orinda, California, with her two sons.
Dr. Buettner has been actively involved in advocacy of patient rights
and committed to increasing public understanding and awareness of
the benefits of chiropractic health care. She fosters a multi-disciplinary
team approach to healing, with the primary care physician and specialists
working cooperatively to assure the best and most effective healthcare
to the patient. She also participates in research projects to promote
the advancement of the chiropractic profession.
Dr. Buettner
is a frequent lecturer for the World Congress of Women Chiropractors
at the Parker College Research Foundation, as well as for local
businesses, government agencies, civic and church groups. She also
speaks on behalf of the San Francisco Chiropractic Societies Speakers'
Bureau and has been a keynote speaker for International Training
in Communications.
